An ode to Basil: The story of a frog

Meet Basil, he's the little green one that you can't see in the tupperware. We got him as a swimming tadpole. Simeon and Camille loved watching him grow and transform. What a neat thing for them to see happen right before their very eyes. And to think some people call it just a "big mistake". It was a great object lesson, and the day finally came to set Basil free. We took him down to the pond and Simeon prodded him to jump towards the water.
What started as a swimming, legless Basil could now hop and breathe air.
And there he went towards the pond and the awaiting sturgeon. But we didn't tell him that.
